This particular industry has been accredited the ability to contradict climate change and some of the examples in the June 2019 design round-up are showcasing how smart design can assist in contributing to the environmental health of the world.
Some of the eco-forward activations have the ambition to revamp the urban infrastructure to accommodate more practicality-focused living. In this category, Matthew Chamberlain proposes ecologically and socially conscious tree pods that will offer individuals sustainable dwellings in the midst of the London housing crisis.
Other innovations in the June 2019 design list are Basse Stittgen's tableware which is created entirely from out-of-date eggs, as well as Johnson Banks' modern packaging for plant-based food label 'This' and the straw-free bubble tea cup alternative that goes by the name of 'FLOAT.'
