'Corks' is the name of the first-ever solo show in North America from Jasper Morrison, which shows off all-cork furniture designs at New York City's Kasmin Gallery. The collection of furniture pieces includes a chaise lounge, tables of various heights, stools and other seating designs, as well as other unconventional pieces like a bookshelf and even a fireplace surround.
All of the cork furniture pieces were created from the material that was left over from the production of wine bottle cork stoppers, which creates unique visual details on the designs.
The exhibition space at the Kasmin Gallery has been styled like a domestic space, complete with walls that are painted a deep green color and adorned with line drawings of each of the all-cork furniture styles from the London-based designer.
