Dairy-free and vegan condensed milk can be made with coconut milk instead of traditional dairy ingredients and Nestlé is introducing a canned plant-based Carnation condensed milk that saves consumers from having to prepare their own. The innovative non-dairy condensed milk is made from unique ingredients like oat and rice flour and it was specifically developed to cater to vegan consumers.
As Nestlé’s marketing lead for UK dairy brands, Vittoria Simms, identifies: "It has been a challenge for vegans to find suitable alternatives to make dairy or caramel-based sweets treats or desserts, without having to compromise on taste, texture or appearance." With this ready-to-use vegan condensed milk, consumers will be able to take their home cooking and baking projects to the next level with newfound ease.
