Subway is introducing a brand-new meatless sub called TLC (Tastes Like Chicken) and it's one of two new vegan items on the menu. The meatless sub is layered with plant-based soy strips that mimic Subway's roast chicken pieces and it can be enhanced with slices of Violife vegan cheese.
For years, the only options for vegetarian customers at restaurants were limited to menu items made without meat but now, inventive meatless options are being created with a focus on variety, flavor and texture. The TLC from Subway is launching at the perfect time for Veganuary, where many people will be experimenting with a plant-based diet for the first time.
Plant-based eaters will also enjoy rounding out their meal with the new vegan chocolate cookie.
