Ahn Kihyun designed the Halfway Serious Chair concept, which is more of a performance art piece than an actual piece of furniture. It is not meant to comfortably seat a person but actually takes the 'mundane' idea of sitting down into an artful structure. Instead of a seat, it balances eggs on either side of the chair.
The designer is known for his experimental work otherwise known as 'anti-furntiure.' he adds different elements to what appears to be regular furniture to entirely alter the purpose. For the Halfway Serious chair, he made the egg container on the ends of the gimbal look like an island. The chair is seen nestled in between balancing both ends.
