Sam, who is a life-long Sharks fan, has only two heart chambers instead of four. The condition is supposed to be debilitating, but Sam refuses to let it stop him from reaching his dreams. He has continued to play hockey since he was six, though doctors always advise him to drop the stick and pick up a less active sport.
