In order to engage its user base in a new way, Snapchat introduced 'Lens Challenges' that let users participate in singing, dancing and other themed activities for special holidays and events. One of the first Snapchat Lens Challenges that is currently available to platform users is a sing-along to Gwen Stefani’s rendition of 'Jingle Bells.' Another Lens Challenge created by Snapchat user Jye Trudinger has been dubbed the 'Disappear' challenge, which has users take two photos that superimpose to make the subject vanish.
These new Lens Challenges can be found within Snapchat's Lens Explorer and after participating, users are able to share their stories privately with friends or submit their story for a chance to be publicly featured on the app.
