Fava bean snack brand Nuttee Bean Co. will be participating in PepsiCo’s second annual North America Greenhouse program, representing one of the "purpose-driven brands that are changing the way consumers eat and drink," as Daniel Grubbs, managing director PepsiCo Ventures Group, describes. The brand makes roasted fava bean snacks that are vegan, allergy-free and gluten-free, available in flavors like Chili & Lime, Salt & Vinegar and Wasabi & Ginger.
These plant-based snacks are touted as a source of protein and allergy-safe snacks, as they avoid the top eight allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, fish, shellfish, eggs, wheat, soy, gluten and sesame. The brand notes that its snacks provide the equivalent amount of protein as two-and-a-half boiled eggs and more fiber than an avocado.
