Brazil-based graphic designer Augusto Gottsfritz created a clever bread basket-inspired dairy product display for Qualy Margarine that definitely stands out on store shelves. The brightly colored dairy display sits within a pre-existing shelf and mimics several different scenes that inspire images of the product on the consumer's own kitchen table.
The Qualy display features a bread basket, butter knife and cutting board that signifies the product is something that the shopper can include with their purchase that will actually complement the items they've already decided to buy. This technique is almost like shadow marketing in that it plays off of other displays within the grocery store in order to position itself as a natural profession of the meal they shopper has already bought the ingredients for.
