Eat Howl is introducing Mac & Chef as its flagship product and it takes the form of a cashew-based mac and cheese. The product sets itself apart within the popular comfort food category, especially as the first of its kind to use cashew cheese and no chemical preservatives.
Mac & Chef relies on clean ingredients like real cashews, nutritional yeast, lemon juice and garlic to recreate the cheesy, tangy taste and texture that people have come to love and expect from mac and cheese meals. As compared to the top-selling vegan mac and cheese, Mac & Chef boasts 50% less total fat and 86% less saturated fat, plus more than two times the protein.
The product is being introduced in two flavors—cheddar-style Classic Cashew and Spicy Chipotle—with more on the way.
