The plant-based Kraft Mac & Cheese has been announced by The Kraft Heinz Company as a new product slated to hit store shelves in the US market to help satisfy cravings for the signature cheesy pasta in a vegan-friendly way.
The product was created with the help of TheNotCompany (NotCo) with its NotCheese to give the pasta a cheesy taste and texture without any milk ingredients. The pasta will come in Original and White Cheddar flavors, and is arriving at retailers now through early 2024 to help consumers try out a familiar favorite in a dairy-free way.
Associated Director of Disruptive Innovation Jennifer Vega spoke on the plant-based Kraft Mac & Cheese saying, "This is a tentpole moment for The Kraft Heinz Not Company, and we’re thrilled to launch Kraft NotMac&Cheese as our third innovation in the last twelve months. This is really a moment where we are able to leverage the strength of both companies in the joint venture – the beloved mac & cheese brand that sells over a million boxes every day alongside NotCo’s revolutionary AI technology – to create a new plant-based product that offers the creamy and comforting experience fans have loved for over 85 years, without the dairy.”
