Cactus, a multidisciplinary design studio, has envisioned an immersive installation for the Brazilian Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai. The Cactus team collaborated with local Brazilian architects to create a nature-evoking installation made from visual projections, project mapping, and purpose-built architecture.
Through a series of large-scale visual projections, viewers will be transported to Brazil's lush rainforests, canyons and beaches. Viewers will walk through shallow reflective pools of water, rich amazon rainforests, and so much more. Marcelo Pontes, head of architecture at Cactus, explains, "we want the world to see and feel the beauty and intricacies of the country we call home." Cactus will flawlessly capture this year's expo's theme of sustainability and biodiversity by illuminating the natural beauties of Brazil and by constructing its exhibit with sustainable materials.
