AUTHOS architecture firm collaborated with designer Stella Spezilli to create an immersive spatial experience at the Zurich Design Biennale 2021. This interactive installation invites visitors to wander through an ephemeral-like pavilion that highlights the fragility of the planet Earth.
The designers have used mist and augmented reality to form their immersive exhibit. The pavilion is located in an old botanical garden in Zurich. Each visitor's experience will differ since the weather and the time of day greatly inform the experience. During the daytime, soft clouds cover the pavilion. While at night, the space is transformed into an immersive digital experience.
The artists hope to remind humans of the impossibility of controlling the earth's climate and fragile equilibrium through this sensorial exhibit.
