From Soccer Star Scotches to Space-Aged Whiskies

Scotch whiskies are an acquired taste, much like the thirst for independence from the UK.
Whatever the result of Scotland's independence referendum vote, one thing is for sure -- the result will be followed by the liberal consumption of Scotch whiskies by Scots in the homeland and abroad. While those who get the referendum result they want will bust out the booze to celebrate, those disappointed by the result will bust out the booze so they have something to drown their sorrows in.
Whether Scotland sticks with the UK or not, let's hope that the country's tradition of producing Scotch whiskies for the world to enjoy isn't affected in any way. After all, the Scots know their whiskies like I know the back of my hand.
