Ardbeg Sent a Bottle of Whisky Up Into to Space to Ferment

Whisky brand Ardbeg decided to ditch traditional methods of aging a bottle of whisky when it decided to send a bottle up in space to see how it would change the fermentation process. This outlandish idea is unlike anything any alcohol brand has ever tried.

Ardbeg, hailing from Scotland, decided to take a risk and see if whisky would taste any different if it was aged in outer space rather than here on planet earth. The change of environment and gravity could have a number of effects on the whisky perhaps changing everything from the flavor and taste to the color. Ardbeg is experimenting with liquid particles and hoping to see if space's gravity changes the maturation of the liquor. The whisky was sent up to space in a series of vials and will make its way back to earth on September 11th.
