From Paper Stein Ads to Comical Cough Ads
Laura McQuarrie — November 29, 2014 — Marketing
Many of the best November 2014 print ideas capitalize on the element of surprise, setting up ads in unexpected places or in unusual ways. Some of the top examples of this include a travel ad that only showed up in the rain, teasing sunnier destinations, and MINI's ads that were set up to look just like emergency signs.
Rather than marketing with print in traditional ways, Newcastle brought its usual irreverence to a campaign that took more of an anti-advertising approach that pokes fun at its own product. Similarly, Moleskine introduced a series of ads that shows the merit of printed products and the downfall of digital media, even in a world where online formats tend to be favored for a lot of ads.
