Black and white photographing is elegant and timeless, so there's no surprise that monochromatic editorials continue to be such a hit with fashion photography and more.
Changing the filter of a photograph from its original to a softer grey scale or black and white really does a lot to the picture. For fashion, it adds a more mysterious edge. It brings out the clothing worn in the photographs and gives the models a sort of allure that is incredibly hard to put your finger on but equally hard to look away from. In art, monochromatic editorials add a sort of peaceful softness and open the viewers up to a more keen sense of wonder and interpretation.
Black and white and gray scaling is an art in itself that will never lose its luster.
