The latest BLK DNM campaign, shot by Johan Lindeberg, features a hauntingly beautiful Karen Elson wandering in a forest on location in Nashville. The campaign is mostly black and white, but there are a few colored shots in which Elson’s ethereal blue eyes are especially vivid. In one unforgettable shot, Elson appears to almost be looking through the camera with an intensely unfocused gaze, her eyes enhanced with smudgy charcoal gray makeup.
The other photographs have the long-limbed Elson hanging from tree branches, leaning on tree trunks, or simply lying on the ground deep in thought – all the while clad in loose-fitting denim, of course. Elson ultimately looks like a (very stylish) lost soul meandering in a forbidden forest in this highly memorable, picturesque BLK DNM ad campaign.
