From Grim Gourd Packaging to Spooky Sodas
Laura McQuarrie — October 27, 2014 — Marketing
These examples of Halloween product packaging help to turn not-so-spooky products into things that are worthy of giving you goosebumps.
While sugary treats like chocolate are easily boxed up in packs for trick-or-treating, some of these packaging ideas include fairly ordinary foods like cereal, soda, milk and ice cream that are not necessarily associated with the spooky holiday. This year, some great examples of this include General Mills collaborating with comic artists from DC Entertainment to reinvigorate its line of Monster Cereals and TruMoo branding its Orange Cream Milk as Orange Scream Milk for Halloween. Rather than having to wait for October 31st to take delight in all of the creepy flavor of the season, packaging like this helps to build excitement and anticipation leading up to the Halloween season.
