From to Blood-Drive Donuts to Wildlife Education Treats
Katherine Pendrill — February 5, 2022 — Social Good
From blood donation to the preservation of National Parks, the February 2022 social good trends demonstrate some of the creative ways brands are raising awareness for good causes.
While Krispy Kreme may be best known for its donuts, the brand recently made headlines for helping to combat the nationwide blood shortage. For a whole week, the brand offered a free dozen of the brand's 'Original Glazed' donuts to those who donated blood – a major highlight of the February 2022 food trends.
Another company known for its sweet treats also waves for supporting another newsworthy cause: the preservation of National Parks. To support the cause, Ferrero released limited-edition Kinder Joy National Park Foundation eggs, which aimed to teach kids about animals that can be found throughout North America and the National Parks where so many of those species live.
