From Women's Day Collections to Staff Vaccination Accommodations
Katherine Pendrill — May 2, 2021 — Social Good
As the pandemic wears on, the April 2021 social good trends reveal an ongoing focus on the health and livelihood of vulnerable populations.
Women have been especially hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic as they try to balance careers with the demands of raising families and running households. In light of these challenges, IT Cosmetics marked International Women's Day by launching a global campaign to empower female business owners. With the help of the global nonprofit Kiva, IT Cosmetics offered to match business loans and pledged to provide $2 million by 2030 to support women-led businesses globally through Kiva.
As the April social good trends reveal, essential workers have also been the focus of many recent campaigns. For instance, Target recently teamed up with Lyft to offer employees two hours of time off and $15 in Lyft credits each way to get their vaccinations.
