Atelier Pierre Thibault's Résidence Des Stagiaires is in Rural Quebec
Kalin Ned — November 5, 2018 — Art & Design
'Résidence des Stagiaires' is a set of gabled wooden guest houses, erected on the property of Jardins de Métis in rural Quebec. The two homes are designed by local studio Atelier Pierre Thibault and their main function is to bring a cozy shelter in the form of communal accommodation for visitors of the natural reserve. This is especially important given the occasional harsh weather conditions.
The silhouettes of the wooden guest houses are complete with ashen, while the gabled roof is made of metal. Atelier Pierre Thibault's main interest in the commission was to satisfy the needs of the annual International Garden Festival — an event, during which individuals from the agricultural industry come together for four to 12 weeks.
