Adding to the assortment of alcohol-inspired loose leaf tea products on the market, Tomatin recently launched a barrel-aged whisky tea.
The Tomatin Barrel Aged Whisky Black Tea is made with a blend of black teas from Assam, Ceylon and Fujian that have been aged in bourbon barrels from the brand. As a result, the unique black tea blend is said to boast notes that are smoky and fruity, yet not so much as to overpower the qualities of the black tea itself. Although the tea is aged in a whisky barrel, the loose leaf blend is completely non-alcoholic—but it can also be used in the making of a tea-based cocktail.
Alongside this whisky-inspired tea, there are also a number of tea blends that take inspiration from red and white wine, as well as the taste of gin and tonic cocktails.
