To emphasize the handmade nature of its product, Neleman Winery worked with Javi Garduño on the development of a unique wine bottle. The finished product resulted in a stylish packaging design for the 'Small Batch' brand that resembles a pencil—a humble tool that often goes unnoticed but plays an essential part in the lives of many artisans.
The pencil-themed design is silk printed on the bottle and plays off of the natural shape of the wine bottle. On the reverse side of the design, the lines that represent the many sides of the writing utensil help to divide up more information about the bottled wine product, including its name, origins, certifications, barcode and other inclusions. The unique wine bottle design is said to be a "funny and visually attractive metaphor" that will catch the eyes of consumers.
