From Bright Cave-Like Homes to Erosion-Themed Furniture Lines
Kalin Ned — March 31, 2020 — Art & Design
The March 2020 design category shows an equal amount of examples that highlight the necessity for aesthetics and innovation in usability. Many of the projects here are inspired by artistic works, while others take on a social issue. For instance, contemporary furniture brand Trame boasted a beautiful and culturally infused collection at Maison&Objet. Titled 'A Voyage to Meknes,' it took cues from a Morrocan fable. Elsewhere, Daisy May Collingridge from Central Saint Martins is placing her belief in body positivity with a range of exceptionally crafted and absolutely striking bodysuits.
In terms of usability, the March 2020 design category also signifies the need for inclusive design. Tech giant Apple is ahead of the game here as the company acquired an assistive-centric technology patent recently.
