Tim Hortons Will Debut a Special Olympics Donut on Feb. 3 through Feb. 5

With a limited-time fundraising donut campaign, Tim Hortons is continuing its long-standing support for Special Olympics Canada to help athletes with intellectual disabilities reach their full potential. Tim Hortons will offer the Special Olympics Donut from Feb. 3 - Feb. 5 with 100% of proceeds going to Special Olympics Canada. A new independent study found that participating in Special Olympics programming reduces depression rates in young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by 49%.

The Special Olympics Donut is a chocolate cake ring donut with white fondant, colored sprinkles and whipped topping. The multi-colored design was inspired by the themes of diversity and inclusion that are central to the Special Olympics mission.

“Both Tim Hortons and Special Olympics Canada share core values of supporting diversity and inclusion and believe in the power of sport to help individuals reach their full potential,” says Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer for Tim Hortons.
