A new augmented reality banner ad from Jaguar Land Rover is now making it possible for consumers to test drive vehicles from the brand on the spot, using only their smartphone.
Using technology from AR start-up Blippar, the automotive AR advertisement gives viewers the chance to drop straight into the seat of the all-new Range Rover Velar SUV. From there, users are able to hold up their phone screen and move it in all directions to see the full interior of the car. The experience also makes it possible for users to see "from the perspective of the car."
One of the best parts of the AR banner ad is that it requires no app to be experienced, and it is compatible with Chrome and Firefox Internet browsers, as well as Android smartphones.
