Tesco Finest Dried Pasta Now Comes in Paper-Made Packaging

Many brands are racing to remove plastic from packaging in response to consumer demand and to reduce waste, which is what we're seeing with Tesco Finest dried pasta that's showing off a decidedly more sustainable alternative.
The private label pasta range is now packaged in paper-made packaging that will reportedly help the brand to save more than 10-million pieces of plastic each year that translates to more than 30 tonnes. The packaging update has seen 10 lines updated with the new packaging that will be in both Tesco and Tesco Express locations. The packaging is 100% recyclable and capable of being recycled curbside in paper collection streams.
Tesco Group Sustainability and Quality Director Claire Lorains spoke on the Tesco Finest dried pasta packaging update saying, "Removing unnecessary plastic is an important way that Tesco can reduce its environmental impact. The new paper packaging works just as well as the old plastic but can be popped into your normal recycling bin with other paper.
We’re proud of the work we’ve done so far to reduce the plastic we use at Tesco but will continue to look for ways to do more.”
