This Standing Christmas Tree from B&Q is Half Fir and Half Fake
Laura McQuarrie — December 18, 2015 — Art & Design
While an artificial Christmas tree is convenient, nothing can replicate the authentic scent of a real evergreen—so this year, B&Q developed a standing Christmas tree to provide the best of both worlds. True to its name, the 'Fake-N-Fir' Christmas tree is a combination of two best-selling seasonal B&Q products, the "fake" Eiger Classic and the real Nordman Fir Christmas tree.
The unique half-and-half Christmas tree has yet to hit stores across the UK, but it is being tested by select customers during this year's holiday season.
In years past, Christmas trees have been redesigned in a range of quirky styles, including unusual shapes, colors, as well as unconventional formations that intentionally display trees upside-down. There have been few changes to novelty Christmas trees since, but this quirky tree may have the power win over consumers by thwarting holiday disagreements on choosing a real or an artificial tree.
