Asda's Holiday Tree Lights Up When People Sing Michael Bublé Songs

To kick off the festive season, Adsa set up a holiday tree display with lights that are "100% Michael Bublé-powered" and reliant on people singling to illuminate. The first-of-its-kind karaoke-inspired Christmas tree uses technology to detect when a person is singing along to Bublé's rendition of Walking in a Winter Wonderland, and when it does, it activates more than 300 meters of lights. The custom-made technology makes the most of voice recognition to determine the singer's level of effort and pitch, so the more notes they hit correctly, and the more of a show people put on, the more brilliantly the tree glows.

The 20-foot Christmas tree is set to be stationed outside of London’s Kings Cross Station for just one day only. This festive tree ties in with Asda's Christmas advert starring the Canadian singer.
