Product branding can either make an item look independently appealing, or in the case of Seathalasso packaging, it can attempt to represent the very nature of what's inside.
Peter Schmidt worked on the image of the Douglas Beauty System, and opted for an aesthetic that would represent the inner structure of the natural skincare commodities. The soft smokey tendrils that escape from the center of the labels are an up-close look at swimming indigo algae. Placed on top of a pristine white backdrop, the diaphanous pattern produced has a divine organic purity that speaks well to the essence of the body creams and lotions. Accented with a simple blue spot and elegant silver text, Seathalasso packaging seems to contain a product fit for gentle epidermal application.
