Philadelphia Cream Cheese Will Now Feature Recycled Packaging

Mondelēz International has announced that the Philadelphia cream cheese range will now feature recycled plastic packaging as part of a new collaboration with its supplier Berry Global Inc. The packaging will be implemented in the UK and Europe starting from 2022 and marks the brand's commitment to reducing its impact on the environment. The packaging features 5% recycled material that has been recovered using advanced recycling technology that will help to keep waste out of the environment.
Executive Vice President and President, Europe for Mondelēz International Vince Gruber addressed the new packaging initiative saying, "It is vital to find and implement innovative, viable solutions to help stop plastic from getting into the environment, where it doesn’t belong. Philadelphia’s anticipated use of recycled material is an important step in limiting this waste while supporting a closed-loop system.
