Müller is Debuting New Packaging to Reduce Virgin Plastic Use
Michael Hemsworth — September 1, 2022 — Eco
This new Müller cream pot packaging is being launched to help reduce the brands use of virgin plastic materials and greatly reduce the amount it uses on an annual basis. The packaging has been rolled out on 75% of the brand's cream volume and consists of rPET pots made using 82% recycled plastics with a 100% recyclable format to boot. The packaging change will remove 500-tonnes of virgin plastic from the brands annual production to further enhance its commitment to sustainability.
Joint Chief Executive Officer at Müller Milk & Ingredients Liam McNamara spoke on the Müller cream pot packaging saying, "It’s clear that shoppers want great dairy products in packaging which preserves their quality, safety and shelf life whilst reducing environmental impact. We are continually searching for innovative solutions to use significantly less virgin plastic.”
