Saputo Dairy UK has announced the removal of non-recyclable cover papers from its Clover, Utterly Butterly, and Country Life Spreadable products. This transition ensures that all packaging components for these spreads are now fully recyclable. The initiative aligns with Saputo’s broader commitment to sustainability, aiming to have 100% of its packaging be reusable, recyclable, or compostable by 2025. This change is expected to prevent approximately 70 tonnes of packaging waste from ending up in landfills annually.
It is important to note that the newly packaged products will maintain their current market prices, ensuring no additional cost burden on consumers. These products are widely available across major UK retailers, including supermarkets and online platforms. The transition to recyclable packaging is part of Saputo’s ongoing efforts to enhance environmental responsibility without compromising product accessibility or affordability.
