Silent Pool Distillers' Green Man Woodland Gin is the world's first spirit sold in a paperboard bottle and it shares a design that uses 77% less plastic than other plastic offerings and it's five times lighter than its glass counterparts. Released on Earth Day, the sustainable packaging solution also boasts a carbon footprint that's six times lower than glass or PET plastic bottles.
The paperboard layer is constructed from 94% recycled paper and since the pouch can be separated from the rest of the bottle it is 100% recyclable. The bottle, produced by Frugalpac, sets itself apart as the future of alcohol packaging. Notably, Silent Pool Distillers is the only approved bottling facility for the Frugal Bottle in the UK.
