Snapchat Debuts New Olympic-Themed Stickers and Filters for the Rio Games

Snapchat has added Olympic-themed stickers and filters in honor of the start of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Snapchat has added Olympic geofilters, stickers, Bitmojis and special sports-themed lenses. The geofilters are available in 50 countries and are country-specific. All 50 countries will also have a medal count filter available to keep track of all the medals won by the user's country. The lenses are also country-specific, with some adding sports apparel to the user's photo or a flag animation across the user's face.

Snapchat will also have content streaming on its Live Stories and a new Olympic Discover channel. The Discover channel is in partnership with broadcaster NBC, and will stream NBC Olympic coverage. Live Stories can be added from the US, UK, France, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Latin America since Snapchat has broadcasting partnerships in those regions.
