Snapchat added a number of new lenses with augmented reality in order to promote social distancing practices among users on the platform. The new lenses were created in a collaboration with the World Health Organization, in order to convey safety information to the masses.
One of the new AR lenses is named 'My Social Distance,' and it has an AR circle on the ground that visualizes the appropriate amount of space that people should maintain when out of their house. Another one of the lenses presents users with multimedia content that encourages people to wash their hands, and also to not touch their face.
Overall it is clear that the Snapchat platform is attempting to keep users informed.
