What starts out as a fairly normal New York Lottery commercial quickly turns bizarre. This ad is promoting the Multiplier Scratch Off games made available by the New York Lottery.
Two men are seated in what looks like a cafeteria. They face off in a game of thumb wars until the man with a big mustache wins. Upon winning, he stands up in a victorious pose. The narrator asks us to imagine what that win would be like multiplied by seven. And unsurprisingly, that scenario is then played out.
The people around him pick him up and people start clapping. The win is then multiplied by twenty, which garners cheer leaders and news coverage. It’s when the win is multiplied by fifty that things get really bizarre.
