To help cheese lovers celebrate National Cheddar Day in style, Tillamook created a 40-pound block of cheese called The Mother Loaf. The big and heavy block of cheese is an oversized version of Tillamook Sharp Yellow Cheddar and it's a special edition release that helps to mark the launch of the Cheddar Capsule collection. The big block has the potential to be sliced, shredded and chopped, and although the 40-pound block is actually a time-tested recipe from the brand, this is the first time it can be purchased by the public.
The Cheddar Capsule collection kicks off the brand's new online shop and the farmer-owned co-op's 112th birthday. The cheese-themed merchandise line also includes an eclectic mix of products like tie-dye loungewear, dog toys and nail polish.
