This stunning model-making workshop is a new addition at ITESO University in Guadalajara, Mexico. Designed to allow students to ventilate the space after painting, varnishing and lacquering, the space features ingenious wooden shutters that are easily opened to allow in fresh air, allowing the projects to dry safely.
The newly completed model-making workshop was designed by Atelier ARS, based in Zapopan, as an annex to the University's Design Innovation and Workshop Building.
The walls are constructed from hinged sections that are easily folded back to reveal the surrounding elements. While highly functional in that it ensures a safe work space for students, the atelier is also visually stunning and boasts a location conducive to creative inspiration.
