MATTE PROJECTS' La Luna Festival was recently held in New York City as a dance party with a sustainable twist. The festival, originally the Full Moon Festival, has been running for many years now but this year, MATTE PROJECTS decided to reinvent the experience with an eco-friendly focus.
At the event, people could refresh themselves with Ever & Ever canned water and fresh filtered water at refill stations provided by Kleen Kanteen. Single-use plastics and straws were replaced with 100% compostable materials at food vendors, helping to cut down on a significant amount of waste.
While La Luna did offer plenty of fun festival merchandise for event-goers to purchase, even the shirts were made from recyclable textile waste.
