Swedish cider brewer Kopparberg has announced the release of a summery frozen variety of its infamous ciders ahead of the 2015 summer season. The Kopparberg Frozen Fruit Cider will initially be available in strawberry and lime and elderflower and lime.

The packaging for the new refreshing Kopparberg beverages is designed as a pouch, making the product range portable and break-free.

The Frozen Fruit Cider was actually inspired by the brand's 2014 April Fool's Day prank, in which they shared an image on social media of a Kopparberg ice lolly. The image was so well-received, the brand decided to explore frozen cider options. The new Kopparberg drinks also aim to capitalize on the American inclination toward frozen drinks.
