This ice cube packaging by ARD Design is a luxurious container for 'OONA,' the world's first Swiss caviar.
The ice cube-shaped box is symbolic of the origins of the Swiss caviar and the Siberian sturgeon fish that provide the decadent fish eggs. Caviar has not always been a delicacy -- it was once thought of as a food of the common fisherman and it was undesirable and difficult to sell because it spoiled so easily.
This icy packaging perfectly preserves the roe, makes reference to its history and its gorgeous translucent form hints at the black fish eggs inside. Although the delicious roe may not last long, the packaging is one that can be used as a decorative box when empty.
