In partnership with Bute Island Foods, Tesco recently expanded its FreeFrom food collection to include a range of vegan, free-from cheese products made with a base of soy and coconut. Some of the new products that are available include Smoked Cheddar Style, Cheddar Style with Jalapeno & Chili and even a Blue Style Wedge that boasts a "mold effect."
Tesco's FreeFrom range features vibrant purple packaging that calls out exclusions such as milk, gluten and wheat. When Tesco first introduced its FreeFrom range to stores, it became so popular that sales exceeded expectations by more than 300%.
Sainsbury's is another supermarket chain that introduced its own line of vegan and dairy-free cheeses in the fall. Considering the popularity of these products, Tesco's newest vegan free-from cheese products will also likely be just as much of a hit.
