KFC created a series of short, festive animations that wish people good luck on Christmas Day—an occasion that's meant to be full of joy and quality time with others, but often involves the occasional dinner mishap. In one 10-second ad called 'Ovenception,' KFC shows a family struggling to get an oversized chicken into a small oven. There are also other ads in the animated series that show familiar scenes including challenges with defrosting and handling frozen poultry, as well as cooking and carving the dinner turkey.
Unfortunately, people do end up with meals that are burnt, overdone, chewy or dry but KFC hopes wish people well and remind them that it offers easy-to-enjoy meals that can help to take the stress out of preparing for the holidays.
