For three of its extra virgin olive oil products, California Olive Ranch introduced fully recyclable aluminum bottles that are protective and eco-friendly. Olive oil is typically packaged in green glass bottles to protect it from exposure to light, which can cause it to spoil and lose its flavor. Green glass also serves the purpose of filtering out ultraviolet light and other harmful rays that can damage the oil.
These aluminum bottles now house California Olive Ranch's 100% California extra virgin olive oil, avocado blend oil and reserve blend extra virgin olive oil. As chief executive officer Michael Fox said, "our goal with this launch is to provide premium extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil blends to all consumers, removing price as a prohibitive purchase factor."
