Embedded Drinks by Marti Guixe Accents Flavor Notes in Beverages
Meghan Young — November 12, 2013 — Lifestyle
The Embedded Drinks series is made for those who really know how to enjoy their alcoholic beverages. It is a series of biscuits that have been created to enhance the flavors of five specific drinks: mezcal, red wine, vodka, gin and whiskey.
Created for Tapas: Spanish Design for Food, an event dedicated to food innovation, by Martí Guixé, the Embedded Drinks series doesn't look like it is made up of anything edible at all. Instead, the cookies could easily pass off as some sort of device. This is due in large part to the use of 3D print modeling instead of the more traditional cookie cutters. According to Psfk, "The form of each biscuit was designed to enhance the taste of the alcohol after pouring, as well as the overall aesthetic appeal."
