A slew of reactions on the Internet have been sparked after Cecilia Giménez tried to restore an old 'Ecce Homo' painting, and these 'Ecce Homo Restorations' are pretty darn funny.
An 81-year-old amateur painting restorer made an attempt to update the 19th century Spanish Fresco Ecce Homo painting. Unfortunately, she did not do such a great job, and as a result loads of memes and recreations have been popping up using the same face from Cecilia's painting.
The monkey-like face she recreated has been added to popular iconic paintings like The Last Supper, The Scream, The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial and the Mona Lisa.
This Ecce Homo Restorations series demonstrates the fun to be had with paintings gone wrong.
