As much as Nissin is known for being the producer of Cup Noodle ramen, its newest products take the form of low-calorie, low-carbohydrate broth soup alternatives that are made without any noodles whatsoever. Nissin is launching its new product line as No-Noodle Ramen with a base of broth, meat and green onion. In place of noodles, the all-new instant cups feature generous blocks of tofu.
Some of the options in Nissin’s No-Noodle Ramen include the 67-calorie Tonkotsu, which features a pork stock base, as well as the 76-calorie Tantan soup with spicy chilies and sesame.
To diversify the types of instant noodle products available to consumers, brands are modifying their formulas to include gourmet recipes, as well as an amplified amount of meat or vegetables.
