Fans of Absinthia Blanche from Absinthia's Bottled Spirits (a woman-owned artisan spirits company) can now appreciate a barrel-aged absinthe spirit. The aged version of the award-winning Absinthia Blanche spirit taps into the growing American obsession with aged brown spirits.
The barrel-aged expression developed over the course of six months in 30-gallon American Oak Heavy Charred barrels that previously held distilled neutral spirit for one year. As Absinthia Vermut, Founder and creator of Absinthia's Bottled Spirits, says "The months spent maturing in a charred barrel mellows the anise and brings out delicious creamy notes of vanilla and caramel that blend beautifully with the other botanicals."
This balanced yet distinctive spirit gets its best qualities from organic botanicals like fresh wormwood, star anise, fennel seed and coriander seed.
